DavidP notes that the GCC are still seemingly having difficulty with answering questions. This seems to be a historical problem. When I wrote to them they answered questions I hadn't asked and failed to answer the questions I had asked. I believe that Action for Victims of Chiropractic have had similar experiences with the GCC.

I notice they are still not good at answering questions.
Two of your the items were
1. what this 'section 60 order' is
4. the full details of this request

The reply you quote certainly does not include "the full details of this request", and Ms coates has described what a section 60 order is, but not what the order they requested would say.

I think (but without the details of the requested order, who can be sure) that complaints will always have to be investigated by an investigating committee, but the investigating committee would have greater ability to reject a case as unlikely to succeed, or negotiate a response with the practitioner, without involving referral to a professional conduct committee.
